If Hillary Clinton is to be believed, she’s never done anything wrong, and she should be president of the United States. Now, as you and I know, both of those are massive falsities. And that’s exactly what makes one of her most recent statements even more ironic.
On Sunday, she appeared on CNN and claimed, “No one is above the law, and no one should be escaping accountability.”
Clinton, of course, was talking about former President Donald Trump, whom she has the absolute most hate for. While she has nothing to do with Trump’s current legal woes and situations, the former secretary of state couldn’t help but get involved and put her two cents in, not that anyone would pay even that much to hear her opinion.
But she’s giving it anyway.
Naturally, as most other Democrats do, she assumes that Trump is in the wrong and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Perhaps that will prohibit him from running for president in 2024 and winning again – at least, I’m sure that’s the plan.
Hillary is wasting no time in doing her part to make that plan succeed. Then again, as deep as her resentment is of the man who supposedly stole the presidency from her is, she’s likely just doing this out of spite.
But as I mentioned before, it’s just all a bit too ironic that she should be encouraging federal agencies to deliver justice and “accountability” when none was ever given to her. Remember back in 2016 when Clinton was accused of having and sending out classified emails on an unsecured server, including the ones that created the now infamously debugged Russia hoax? She had clearly committed no small number of crimes, and yet, she seemed to get off completely Scot-free.
At the time, James Comey was the Director of the FBI, and after an investigation that proved she had broken American laws, and knowingly so, he absolved her of all wrongdoing. It is noted that in the inquiry, kid gloves were used with Clinton. Unlike with Trump, her home was raided, her files not pilfered through, and her privacy not violated.
But crimes were indeed found, nonetheless.
As records show, Hillary was given a secure and classified email account for her work as Barack Obama’s Secretary of State. And yet, she never used that email or its server. Instead, she conducted all of her business, both private and professional, on an unsecured email server in her New York home’s basement. This means that hundreds of files, including classified ones, were sent to, received, and sent out from her easily hackable home computer system. If you hadn’t already guessed, this is highly illegal, even if the classified material is in electronic form.
According to the FBI’s investigation, there were at least “110 emails in 52 email chains” contained on her home computer that included “classified information at the time they were sent or received.”
And these were just the ones that they found.
As noted in the investigation files, Clinton had been given orders and even subpoenaed to deliver any and all records she might have. She did not oblige. Instead, file-deleting software was used to wipe out more than 30,000 documents and wipe her server clean. Additionally, any copies held on mobile devices were destroyed as well when hammers were taken to those phones.
In case you didn’t know, that’s hiding information from authorities, which translates to obstruction of justice. Another crime Hillary is guilty of.
Yet, despite all of this, she wasn’t prosecuted.
And don’t think it’s because she’s so believable. She changed her story about the emails and classified documents a total of four times before finally giving an “Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation” statement.
Naturally, this was “fact-checked” and given multiple Pinocchios. Even Comey himself couldn’t deny the lies in her statements.
And since she was never punished for her crimes or lies, she continues to do so, assuming that she is the only person above the law she wishes to throw at Trump.
