Drag Queens and Children…One Democrat’s Approach

Most people…at least conservative people…can agree that drag queens and children are not a desirable match. After all, drag queens tend to throw their sexuality into everyone’s faces. In a world where children are constantly forced to grow up too soon, they don’t need to see and interact with such blatant sexuality until they’re old enough to understand it.

Yet, one Democrat has a much different approach.

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) decided that she wanted to honor “Miss Ginger Devine” with a  certificate of commemoration for reading to children at libraries. This is a guy who has worked for an organization that teaches kids “all about the world of kink, including role play, kinky toys, and bondage.”

Why? Seriously…why does any kid need to learn about the world of kink? Talk about stealing the innocence of a child.

“Miss Ginger Devine” has been performing as a drag queen around Reno for over a decade. Christopher Daniels is his real name, and he once referred to himself as reported by the Washington Free Beacon as a “Broadway-loving, ‘Project Runway’-watching, rainbow scarf-wearing, footlong Subway sandwich-eating faglicious homo.”

Wow. That sounds just like the kind of role model you want around your kids, doesn’t it?

And rather than making sure that Daniels doesn’t get anywhere near a group of children, Senator Masto is actually congratulating him and presenting him with a certificate.

The Washoe County Library was also proud to be hosting the drag queen, explaining in a tweet that “#DragQueenStoryTime was a success.”

It’s easy to see that what is happening is disturbing. We’re supposed to be protecting our kids. The senators that we vote into office should be working hard to make sure that kids aren’t exposed to adult content and over-sexualized.

Unfortunately, this story is about to take a turn for the worse.

Daniels has written about his “Confessions of a Drag Queen” in his blog, where he talks about a particular experience that happened in Reno. He was at a roller rink and arcade, which is the kind of place that is commonly occupied by kids under the age of 10.

That’s when Daniels said that he almost got into a fight with a 10-year-old. Apparently, the grown man didn’t know how to engage with kids or understand that kids are just there to have some fun.

Daniels made a song request from the DJ – “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper. You know, because what other song would a drag queen request? Well, he was bullied by some 10-year-old boys – and reasonably so.

That’s when he recounts how he handled the situation. Instead of taking the higher ground, he said “Uh excuse me, you prepubescent choir boy. What the f*ck are you doing? What the f*ck can you do? I can buy porn, cigarettes, and liquor and enjoy them at my leisure if I desire. I can drive, vote, and gamble if I want to. Join the 21st century you 8-year-old Justin Bieber-worshiping wannabe. Cyndi Lauper is TIMELESS so shut the f*ck up and sit down.”

Can you imagine finding out that a grown man, forget the fact that he’s homosexual or a drag queen, spoke to your child this way? You’d be furious. Meanwhile, one senator is practically lifting him up into sainthood with the way that he works with kids.

Oh, and if you think Daniels is some big political activist, he’s not. When parents have shown concerns about the sexually explicit materials that he shows kids, he doesn’t provide any kind of real answer as to why. He doesn’t defend his actions. Instead, he refers to the complains as “bullsh*t.”

And this, everyone, is the moral decay found in the United States thanks to Democrats like Senator Masto.
