Virginia has led the way in ‘The Great Democrat Removal of 2021’ in this special election season. Along with switching over to Republican Glenn Youngkin as their governor, the great state of Virginia also elected Winsome Sears as their lieutenant governor and flipped six House seats back to red.
Were these great politicians? Incredibly intelligent people with awesome ideas? Did they campaign better than their opponents? While the answer to all three is a resounding yes, it’s not the whole narrative. The overlooked part here is the fact that people just don’t trust Biden, his politics, or the ‘woke’ people the left is attracting. The common person just doesn’t identify with these increasingly divisive progressive politics, and they are letting the Democrats know it with their vote.
Telemundo News took to the exit polls and recorded the responses of people who had voted Republican. One gentleman was quoted as saying “I believe that Biden turned me into a Republican. Biden is destroying the economy. Inflation is through the roof and everything is terrible.” He has seen the writing on the wall and doesn’t like what he sees. It’s something every Republican can identify with as all these progressive policies take hold of America.
Unfortunately, the outcries from the left make it near impossible to be a Republican in 2021. People are ostracized for their beliefs if they aren’t a part of the ‘progressive left.’ This is a very dangerous mindset to have, too. Another Virginia voter spoke up about this as well. “I believe that Republicans now, especially we minorities, have stood up – because I’m sick of people stigmatizing me (for being) a Republican and me being expected not to speak up.”
This idea of silencing the Republicans is horrific. The left has been allowed to spew rhetoric and hate from sea to shining sea, and it is largely due to their unchecked aggression. The message of ‘unity and coming together’ is accompanied by an unspoken message of ‘agree with me or perish.’ This unspoken viewpoint paints Republicans into a box for their political beliefs.
Being persecuted for your beliefs is the cornerstone of why we got involved in WWII. If the left has their way, The Civil War II could be right around the corner if their persecution of free-thinking Americans is allowed to continue unchecked. While the move of checking their privilege in the form of public protest is a valid idea, it all too often turns violent, and rioting ensues. Not something we need more of. Debating in public also leads to childish name-calling that again often tends to turn violent.
So where do we go? We go grassroots. We sit and talk with Democrats and learn their viewpoints. Don’t attack them, but discuss them. Ask them, why are these policies are so great? What will they change? How will this be paid for? Who will benefit? Then you simply explain where the holes are in their logic. Explain in detail and be professional about it. This will simply drive them insane. Especially when they look at the latest election results and see just how right you are.
The change back to the Republican side of the house has been a slow burn. The Democrats who jumped over during the Bush administration or while Obama was in office are seeing just how different Biden is from Obama. Not to say Obama was better, but at least he held the progressives off from a full-on attack on conservatives. With him gone, Biden has gone full steam ahead with this attack, and Republicans as well as swing voters who went Democratic last election cannot stay on the blue side. The times they are a-changing, and the Democrats just want to go too far, too fast.
