Texas Abortion Law Finds Strange Supporter in High Profile Transgender Advocate
There are always going to be things in life that are hard to understand: how can one find their purpose in life? Are soulmates real? How do the moon and tides really work? Why did millennials feel the need to eat Tide pods?
There are some things that we just may never know the answer to, but none may flummox us as much as the time we learned that a California man, who decided to become a California woman, supports a Texas law that has feminists’ panties (or, you know, whatever) in a knot.
That’s right ladies and gentlemen (and …. you know, others) the one and only Caitlyn Jenner, known formerly as Olympic medalist Bruce Jenner, has come out … this time in favor of the Heartbeat law in Texas that bans abortions after the heartbeat of a child is detectable.
Technology being what it is today, this law bans essentially all abortions in the Lone Star State, something that has had women nationwide at a fever pitch of anger and frustration. But not Caitlyn. Caitlyn, still as opinionated as ever, has gone out of her way to make sure the abortion industry knows she is on board with Texas.
“I am for a woman’s right to choose. I am also for a state having the ability to make their own laws,” Jenner said during an interview with CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday according to The Independent Journal Review. “So I support Texas in that decision, that’s their decision… But as far as being a woman’s right to choose, I don’t see any changes in our laws in California in the future.”
This is not the party line that is deemed acceptable, especially by the likes of CNN. Therefore, it was host Brianna Keilar’s job to question Jenner on what exactly the meaning of that statement might be. You know, give the high profile figure enough rope to hang herself with (and if, say, some of Hillary’s men find said rope and give some tips and tricks, so be it):
“But you’re fine with the Texas law?” Keilar queried. “Even though you say that you support abortion rights, you are fine with a law that essentially outlaws abortion?”
Jenner was quick to reply, “I think that they have the right in their state to do what they want to do. Now do I agree with the decision or not? No. To be honest with you, I actually probably do not agree with the decision. But I agree that they do have the right to make their own decision.”
Now, clearly, Jenner is more accustomed than most to cutting things off, but the hand that feeds her was an unexpected victim. Not only does the high profile LGBTQ icon walk in the foosteps of many a feminist, but her entire family is also about as far to the left as a group can be. So, to come out in support of a law that has progressives and feminists as hot under the collar as this one seems like a dangerous move for the Olympian-turned-social media figure.
Among others, the Biden administration seems to be groping around for ways to keep allowing women to sell themselves cheap to the men who don’t care for them, and then throw the offspring in dumpsters, or sell body parts to research companies. Attorney General Merrick Garland reportedly announced that the Department of Justice is exploring “all options” to challenge the law, as IJR reported. This was after the Supreme Court declined to hear a case that would have allowed them to block the order from going into effect.
“We will continue to protect those seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services pursuant to our criminal and civil enforcement of the FACE Act,” Garland said, going on to proclaim that the department will “provide support from federal law enforcement when an abortion clinic or reproductive health center is under attack. We have reached out to U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and FBI field offices in Texas and across the country to discuss our enforcement authorities.”
Good luck with that. As Jenner correctly pointed out, Texas has the right to make such a law. The liberals will just have to think twice about killing their unwanted children.
