Wow! Oregon Lets Students Graduate Without Being Able to Read, Write or Do Math – All in the Name of Equity

Oregon governor Kate Brown is quite possibly the least competent Democrat to ever hold a position this important and this is not something that we say lightly. She’s always making the worst possible decisions at the worst possible times. It’s like she is looking to give us something to laugh at.

We can’t imagine that any of this is very funny to the residents of Oregon, though. Can you believe that they are going to let their students graduate from high school, even if they do not have the ability to read, write or handle basic arithmetic?

Call us crazy but we are pretty sure that this is the whole purpose of going to school in the first place. The Marxists who run these liberal states are sure to love this. They enjoy a world where achievements are handed out without any form of merit. We do not know how anyone in their right mind can be willing to go along with this.

The liberals are a wild bunch. The Post Millennial has more about this insane policy:

“An Oregon high school diploma does not guarantee that students who earned it can read, write or do math at a high school level.

Governor Kate Brown dropped the requirement that students demonstrate they have achieved those essential skills by signing Senate Bill 744 into law. She declined again Friday to comment on why she supported suspending the proficiency requirements, reported OregonLive.

The bill was not entered into the legislative database until July 29, a departure from the standard practice of updating the public database the same day a bill is signed. Charles Boyle, the governor’s deputy communications director, said the governor’s staff told legislative staff the same day the governor signed the bill.

Boyle said in an emailed statement that suspending the reading, writing and math proficiency requirements will benefit “Oregon’s Black, Latino, Latina, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Tribal, and students of colour.”

That’s Oregon for you in a nutshell. No child who graduates from high school in this state will have to actually know anything but you had better believe that they are going to have to wear a mask. It makes so much sense! We are glad that our children do not have to be educated in this state because it’s a total sham.

No parent can feel good about this. “Well, my son has graduated from high school and can barely do his times tables but at least there is equity!” said no one ever. Governor Brown is doing everyone a disservice with this philosophy but she does not even know it yet. There is no helping a state that is this ridiculous.

Any state that has to accept job applicants with a Oregon high school diploma should definitely be thinking twice. The same goes for any university that has to consider these people. Why would any job or secondary education facility allow any of these “graduates” through their doors? There’s absolutely no reason to.

This is what Brown is not thinking of. She does not think about the consequences of anything that she does until they are pointed out after the fact. In fact, we highly doubt that she even takes the time to do that. If anyone ever points out the obvious difficulties that are taking place here, we are sure that they will be blamed on the conservatives who have had enough of these policies.

They will blame us for anything if you give them enough time, that is one thing that we have definitely learned over the years. Brown and her liberal cohort have done so much damage with this newest plan and we wish that someone with some common sense could have told them that this is where it was all going. Oregon is now going to become a bastion state for all those who do not want to work hard….if they were not already.
