Newsom Extends House Arrest for Another 3 Weeks Despite Clear Evidence Lockdowns Don’t Work

California Governor Gavin Newsom has been making all sorts of crazed decisions throughout the course of the pandemic. Now, he has decided to take his latest power trip to a disturbing new level.

The stay at home orders have been extended in two different regions of California. San Joaquin Valley and Southern California will be under lockdown for at least another three weeks.

Orange County and its conservatives are being targeted by these orders and there is no denying it. When the order was first announced, it was December 3. People were definitely expecting to resume their normal lives by now.

The order has been extended to all of the indoor businesses in the area, except for the big box retailers.

Newsom’s reasoning for the continued lockdowns is a simple one. He believes that he is making the best possible decision to help his state recover. According to him, ICU capacity is currently strained. Of course, there is nothing in the Constitution that says Americans’ rights need to be taken away because of hospital capacities.

CNBC has more.

“California will extend its stay-at-home order for two regions of the state — Southern California and San Joaquin Valley — where intensive-care unit capacity is strained from an onslaught of Covid-19 patients, the state’s Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said on Tuesday.

Those two regions will continue to be subject to the restrictions until projections from the state show ICU capacity above or equal to 15%, he said. Ghaly added that projections will be calculated and updated daily moving forward. Just because the San Joaquin Valley and Southern California regions will remain under the order, it doesn’t mean they’ll be there for the full three weeks, he said.

According to a slide Ghaly presented at a press briefing, those two regions showed no available ICU capacity. Four-week projections from state health officials have determined that ICU capacity in those two regions is not improving, Ghaly said.

“We essentially are projecting that the ICU capacity is not improving in Southern California and San Joaquin Valley, and that demand will continue to exceed capacity,” Ghaly said during a press briefing.” These claims may convince the liberals to stay inside but those who actually pay attention are not so easily fooled.

San Diego and Orange County are both running at less than 90 percent capacity right now. What Newsom and his posse are not willing to admit is that this is fairly normal for this time of year. Flu season tends to cause lots of problems when it comes to the number of hospital beds that are available.

“So we all know California is lying when it says its ICUs are full statewide, right? Just flat lying. The county-level data (and California has BIG counties) show the truth. San Diego says its units are only 82% full, Orange County says all of Southern Cal is running at 89%…,” Alex Berenson shared on Twitter.

“The percentages here have been adjusted by state public health officials to represent the high levels of COVID-19 patients among all ICU patients. More actual beds may be available,” concurs the OC Register.

As Berenson points out, this is classic newspeak. They are talking out of both sides of their mouth at the moment and we can see through it with ease. Newsom is going to be recalled at this rate and everyone should probably start preparing themselves for that inevitability now.

The state of California should not have to put up with these draconian rules any longer.

The recall team has until March 17th to collect 1,495,709 signatures and they already have over 900,000. In order for your signature to count, you need to make sure that you are signing it in person.

Online signatures are not going to matter. Go to the recallGavin2020 website right now and find out more about where you can locate a petition near you. It’s time to get him out of office.
